At Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists, our team of veterinary professionals works together in our fully-equipped facility in Little Rock to ensure that your pet’s needs are provided for at all times.

We provide emergency care so your pet can get care whenever they need it.

We're here for you on evenings, weekends, holidays, and during regular business hours for those times when your primary care veterinarian may not be available.

Location & Hours

We offer advance specialized care delivered by board-certified veterinary specialists.

To become board-certified in a veterinary specialist, a veterinarian must complete a 2-3 year residency, an original research project, publication in a scientific journal, and a multiple-day comprehensive exam. Once these requirements are met, they become a diplomate in their specialty, giving pets access to specialty care.

Veterinary Specialists

We work closely with your primary care veterinarian to treat your pet.

We think of ourselves as an extension of your pet's primary veterinary care. We provide specialty veterinary services that go above and beyond traditional veterinary medicine, and will work together with your primary care veterinarian every step of the way.

Specialty Services

We provide quick results and treatments for your pet with our in-house lab and diagnostics.

We offer diagnostic imaging services for our patients, including digital x-ray, ultrasound and Computed Tomography (CT) scan. Our in-house lab allows us to perform tests and get results quickly, so that we can diagnose your pet's symptoms and begin treatment.

Lab & Diagnostics

Our facility is fully-equipped to meet every aspect of your pet's needs.

We use state-of-the-art veterinary tools to provide complete care and our modern facility is designed to provide for your pet’s specialty and emergency care needs. Our in-house pharmacy and diagnostic laboratory helps provide accurate diagnosis and treatment for your pet.

Hospital Tour

From Our Clients

  • "On a late Saturday night, I was able to find this emergency vet for my cat. It was horrible seeing her in pain and miserable. We were able to get in quickly, the staff was all very friendly and came to let me know what was going on throughout the visit. They were up front about costs and gave me estimates for treatment. I felt respected, I feel my cat was very well treated and cared for!"
