Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Emergency Veterinarian (Full or Part-Time) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with our clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

Qualifications (Required)

Title: Technician Supervisor
Reports to: Hospital Manager
Location: Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists
Position overview:
A working supervisor who maintains the same duties as the medical technical staff (e.g. technicians and assistants) as well as scheduling and supervising direct reports. Expedites the care and efficiency of the teams. Works with the Specialists and Medical Director to establish and maintain patient care standards for all departments. Must lead teams by example, demonstrate strong organizational skills, follow company policies, and have a positive and professional attitude.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise technicians/assistants in all departments, assist in evaluating performance (90 day and annual), review attendance, enforce company policies, and communicate new practices and policies regarding technical duties
- Schedule staff according to department needs, monitoring and regulating overtime hours and ensuring proper coverage in times of shortage
- Organizes training for new staff and mentor all staff regarding performance and training needs
- Perform the duties of technician or assistant, as scheduled
- Liaison with all departments, supervisors, and hospital manager regarding patient care and hospital operations; resolve issues as needed
- Oversee cleaning, stocking, and inventory for all departments
- Exhibit confidentiality and professionalism in all regards for employee issues; be proactive in issue resolution
- Keep hospital management informed of any issues or risks that might impact operations or employee relations; work with the management team to find solutions

Title: Inventory & Marketing Coordinator
Reports to: Hospital Manager
Location: Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists
Position Overview:
Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists is the leading provider of specialty & emergency veterinary services in Arkansas. We welcome all qualified candidates looking to promote the advancement of our clinic by marketing our superior clinical care and customer service and support the hospital by maintaining inventory control. We are looking for a bright, motivated, energetic, upbeat experienced professional to join our practice. Essential Functions:
- Organizes hospital involvement in community events including committee participation, transportation of marketing materials to the event and working at the event booth.
- Conveys hospital announcements and updates to referring veterinarians via direct mailings, email, and fax distribution.
- Assists hospital managers with reviewing and evaluating new and ongoing marketing opportunities
- Assists hospital managers with veterinary recruiting, including ad placement and coordinating travel arrangements and hospitality for the interviewee.
- Coordinates clinic visits and other promotional activities for newly hired veterinarians.
- Assists with continuing education seminars in the local area as needed.
- Orders marketing materials as directed, including pens, magnets, brochures, letterhead, business cards.
- Updates website, brochures, and other marketing materials as directed by management.
- Coordinates special events for staff and referring veterinarians, including holiday gifts, cards, and luncheons.
- Monitors budgets and coordinates the purchase of equipment and supplies, and oversees the maintenance of the facility
- Responsible for all local accounting functions; ensure daily financial information is accurate
- Oversees the management of the inventory and ensures proper documentation and systems are in place
- May establish and oversee billing practices; reviews and maintains the accuracy of billing and oversees charge capturing
- May be responsible for contracts or negotiations with new vendors
- Maintain compliance of current licensure and the display of the same. Maintaining updated licenses for DVMs.
- Works with the PetVet Care Centers support team to ensure compliance with all administrative responsibilities
- Assists with submitting contract veterinarian invoices, submitting all local vendor invoices, and obtaining quotes
- Responsible for Quarterly inventory counts and reconciliations
- Responsible for monthly statements, accounts receivable, and working alongside collections for ongoing billing efforts
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.

- Obtain vitals of patient and a thorough history from client at presentation
- Restrain canines and felines safely and humanely for exam, diagnostics, and treatments
- Venipuncture of Cephalic, Saphenous, and Jugular
- Perform hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, fecal, coagulation panel, and process laboratory samples for reference lab
- Radiology techniques and positioning
- Place and maintain Intravenous Catheters including central lines
- Place and maintain Urinary Catheters
- Calculate medication doses, including oral, injectable, and CRI
- Administer oral, injectable, and CRI medications, including knowledge of drug compatibilities
- Knowledge of CPR procedures
- Perform emergency anesthesia, including calculations, monitoring, and recovery
- Complete medical records in hospital management software
- Fill prescriptions prior to discharge
- Review discharge instructions with client
- Handle client calls and questions, including schedule appointments
- Work independently and as part of a team
